Patchwork Parade: Check out all the Latest at Bonjour Quilts ๐Ÿ‘€๐Ÿฅณ

Hello, hello! It's Kirsty from Bonjour Quilts here with all the latest news. I've got plenty of fun weekend reading for you, so sit back and let's get into it!

What I've Been Sewing...

My second Merry Xmas Mini Quilt is complete. You can find my blog post all about it (and my red version too) over here.

I'm pretty happy I have two of these mini quilts all ready for when December arrives (and it always seems to arrive very quickly, have you noticed?)

Interesting Links around the Interwebs

Here's a tutorial for a sweet little pineapple quilt block.

You'll never look at a newspaper the same way (a quick 2 min Youtube video).

I enjoy scrolling through art print sites for patchwork ideas and new colour combinations. (Or just to buy a pretty new piece of wall art.)

What happens to our craft projects when we die? This article is beautiful.

Reader Quilts

My favourite part of the newsletter! I love seeing the gorgeous quilts you've been making from Bonjour Quilts patterns. Keep sending in your photos (just hit reply to this email) or tag me on Instagram or Facebook.

Here's Audrey's Diamonds in the Deep, which she calls Panning For Gold. The gold centres and flecks in the turquoise on a brown earth background make this a very clever name. And the water-eddies quilting pattern is just perfect!

Here's another beauty - Louise's Radiant quilt. Radiant is the sister-quilt to Diamonds in the Deep. Similar blocks but a different, symmetrical layout.

Casey sewed up this wonderful version of the Kaleidoscope quilt pattern in two colours. Backed with minky, I know this quilt will receive a lot of cuddles over its lifetime!

I'm so happy to see a Mountainside quilt! Kathleen's quilt top is a plum and purple stunner:

โ€‹Diane used the Tree Block tutorial to add to her gorgeous Autumn quilt. I love the shading within each tree's foliage.

As always, thank you for sending in photos of what you've made. It makes my day to see these patterns come to life, and I know fellow newsletter readers love seeing these patterns made up in different fabrics. Keep sending them in!

Have a Wonderful Weekend!

I hope you have a lovely weekend and find some time to sew.

Or maybe nap?

Our cats have the napping down pat. Their sleeping positions always make us smile!

Until next time,

Kirsty x

P.S. Don't forget to check out my latest blog post!

Bags of colourful quilting scrap fabrics

Hello, hello, it's Kirsty here from Bonjour Quilts with another weekend newsletter for you. What I'm Sewing... I've almost finished my green and low-volume scrap quilt top - very appropriate given The Modern Quilt Guild tells me that today (Nov 4) is International Scrap Sorting Day. Sounds good to me! I keep my scraps in clear bags in a cupboard, and I love having them pre-sorted and on hand. I'm sure there are a million ways different people define a scrap, but mine all have to be smaller...

Hello, hello, it's Kirsty here from Bonjour Quilts with another weekend newsletter for you. What I'm Sewing... I finally finished my throw size Halloween quilt, yay! I was planning to send it off to the longarmer but I realised with a two-week turn around, half of October would be gone before I got it back. So I made the scary decision...to quilt it myself. Let's just say it wasn't the most fun I've had quilting! But you can read all about it in this new blog post, with plenty of photos. The...
